‘The Breakfast Club’ Celebrates 30 Years & Returns to Theaters | March 26 & 31, 2015

John Hughes’ iconic film, Breakfast Club, which originally debuted in 1985, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month. Along with special Blu-ray and DVD editions, available March 10, the movie returns to theaters.

The film, starred members of the 1980’s famed Brat Pack and spoke to a generation of brains, athletes, basket cases, princesses, and criminals. Courtesy of Fathom Events, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, and BY Experience, the film will be screened across the country March 26 and March 31. A newly restored version of the movie will be shown, and preceded by a featurette with remarks from cast members and filmmakers like Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body, United States of Tara) and Amy Heckerling (Look Who’s Talking, Clueless).

Also, returning to theaters this month is Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window. Turner Classic Movies presents the James Stewart nail-biter, March 22 & 25. The 1954 classic thriller tells the tale of an injured and restless photojournalist-turned-voyeur (Smith) who suspects one of his neighbors of murder. TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz will host a special introduction to the remastered film, that will precede 2 pm and 7 pm screenings.
