Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Songs From the Kitchen Disco’ is Out Now

Dancefloor diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor was one those amazing artists who utilized the quarantine to keep her fans – and surely – as well as her family entertained and sane. Every Friday, she took viewers on a magical, silly escape from reality, inviting us into her home, performing live renditions of everything from New Order to her own catalogue.

Last month, she released an album of her greatest hits, ‘Songs From the Kitchen Disco’ which she performed throughout the 10 episode series. Admittedly, I thought it would be the actual live versions she recorded on the videos. Alas, it’s still outstanding to have all of her hits – and a few new covers – in one place and the memory of this…interesting year.
