Parliament House Presents ‘Naked Boys Singing’ | Feb. 5 – Mar. 13, 2016
The Parliament House Orlando presents its next mainstage production: The Central Florida debut of Naked Boys Singing! This hilarious revue features 16 original songs, 7 gorgeous guys – and no clothes– a winning combination, if ever there was one! From the sassy opening number “Gratuitous Nudity,” to the screamingly funny “Bliss of a Bris,” audiences and critics alike have hailed Naked Boys Singing! as a sure-fire crowd-pleaser. The show runs Friday through Sunday, February 5 – March 13, 2016, plus a special benefit “Leap Year,” performance on Monday, February 29. A portion of the proceeds from the leap year performance will benefit The Hope and Help Center.
If you let the Parliament House know while making your group reservation online that you are celebrating a birthday, bachelor/bachelorette party or other special occasion, they will let you grab a photo with the cast after the show!
While the show is not meant to be pornographic, the men will surely stimulate audiences with their – uh – talent. The cast, which features Broadway veterans, local celebrities, and Original Naked Boys Singing Cast members from NYC, stars James Berkley, William Bruce, Mitchel Burns from Melbourne, Kevin Kelly, Bryan Manley, Joshua Roth, and Cannon Starnes.
The production is directed by the Parliament House’s new Artistic Director of the Footlight Theatre: Tim Evanicki. Last fall, Evanicki debuted his award-winning musical Bathhouse: The Musical to rave reviews. Guests learned their gay ABC’s in blunt hilarity. This raw, relateable, uncut, after school special-style musical offers up amazing harmony and biting lyrics. Bathhouse: The Musical gives whole new meaning to the phrase “tongue in cheek.” The musical is set to kick off its 10th Anniversary National Tour in the Spring and Summer of 2016.
The Footlight Theatre has long been known for its world famous female impersonators: The Footlight Players, but Evanicki hopes to turn the theatre into a real entertainment destination, bringing comedians, musicians, cabaret performers, and more live theatre than ever before. Naked Boys Singing will be Evanicki’s first major production in his new position.
