‘Evita’ at Boone High School | March 12 – 15, 2015

Orlando FRINGE and theater vet, David Lee directs Boone High School’s performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s lavish musical-drama. The musical depicts the real-life story of Eva Duarte de Peron. Revolutionary Che narrates Eva’s life and her rise to fame. After marrying President Juan Peron, Eva becomes the most famous Argentinian woman in history; her huge political influence and constant charity work earns her scorn and fear from the military and aristocrats, but adoration and love from the workers and “descamisados” outweigh the criticism. And for the first time ever, see Eva’s life be portrayed by three different actresses.
