‘Gay Bar Star’ Janine Klein Offers Up V.D.

Janine Klein, the power-house vocalist behind the successful Gay Bar Star series of shows and December’s Janine Klein the Mutha’F’ing Musical performs two very different shows to commemorate Valentine’s Day.

On Feb. 9 at 7pm, at The Venue, the comedic zingerin offers an intimate evening for the bitter to celebrate the other side of Valentine’s Day. Klein will be on the mic singing anti-love songs, featuring Julian Bond on the keys. More info, click here.

Then, on Feb. 17 & 18, Klein does a 180, “performing an assortment of uplifting and inspiring classic Broadway love songs and standards that will make you laugh and touch your heart.” That’s a quote from the press release. The show, titled Let’s Fall In Love!, marks her return to The Winter Park Playhouse as part of their Spotlight Cabaret Series. Klein, a Fringe Festival veteran, and regular cast member at Universal Studios and Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, is arguably one of the very best vocalists in Orlando. Her vocal range and belting voice take her center stage, but her flair for comedy, biting wit, and acting make this powerhouse cabaret and jazz singer a Diva with which to contend. I would listen to her sing to a fart!
