International female rap sensation Iggy Azalea will release her highly-anticipated debut album THE NEW CLASSIC (on Def Jam Recordings/Grand Hustle) on April 22nd. The album contains the runaway hit single, “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX, which hit #1 on iTunes Hip-Hop Songs chart, and has cracked Top 40 Pop, Top 15 Rhythm, and Top 10 on the national (U.S.) Shazam charts. Iggy kicks off the release of THE NEW CLASSIC with a release-day appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, one day before she kicks off “The Hip Hop Outbreak 2014 Tour” at House of Blues in Boston on the 23rd.

On May 15th, Iggy takes over the outdoor stage for an extended performance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, the night before her sold-out show across town at the Wiltern Theatre. The 15-city North American “Hip Hop Outbreak 2014 Tour” of the U.S. and Canada wraps up on May 22nd in Seattle. Iggy will then join the roster for Lollapalooza in Chicago, August 1-3. (See tour dates below.) Last month, Iggy performed in Austin, Texas at the 10th annual mtvU Woodie Awards – where her “Bounce” was nominated for Best Video.

The deluxe version of THE NEW CLASSIC, one of the most hotly anticipated debuts of 2014, will contain all four advance singles released by Iggy Azalea during the course of 2013 and 2014:
• “Work” (Top 5 smash on Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, whose video directed by Jonas & Francois has topped 30 million YouTube views);
• “Bounce” (whose Bollywood-flavored video, directed by BRTHR Films, has topped 11 million YouTube views);
• “Change Your Life” featuring T.I. (Iggy’s first video with her mentor T.I., directed by Jonas & Francois, with YouTube views topping 14 million); and
• “Fancy” featuring Charlie XCX (released February 17th), over 12.1 million YouTube views.
“The Hip Hop Outbreak 2014 Tour” is Iggy’s third major outing in six months. She spent three weeks in her native Australia (and New Zealand) opening in six cities on “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” with Beyoncé, during October-November 2013. Iggy’s first major North American tour immediately followed, playing 19-cities through November-December.
Nominated as an “Artist To Watch” at the MTV VMAs, 23-year old Iggy Azalea was also named a “FUSE Favorite” Artist, and was selected as a VEVO “Lift Artist.” She pulls no punches, citing broken dreams and bad deals, until (as she rapped in the autobio¬graphical “Work”), “slept cold on the floor recording/ at 4 in the morning,” she finally got aboard her space¬ship into the music industry that now embraces her. With the arrival of THE NEW CLASSIC, Iggy declares, “This dream is all that I need/ cause it’s all that I ever had.”
